SonLife is made up of some ordinary people that enjoy getting together to have a good time. We are not your typical church; in fact if you’re looking for a typical church, we’re not it.
We hope that this site will give you a little better idea of who we are and that you come check us out real soon!
Connecting with Others, Connecting With God, Connecting Others With God
We are here to connect with others. We believe that there is nothing more valuable than people. You matter!
We have a passion to connect with God. We are all on a spiritual journey and there's something inside the human spirit that calls out to find God. We believe that it is possible to have a personal connection with God and it makes all the difference.
We believe that we each have a role in helping connect others with God. Our connection with God grows stronger when we are in relationship with others and learn from them.
The reason we exist is to intentionally make disciples who are passionate followers of Jesus Christ

SonLife is the result of a dream that some passionate and dedicated people had. Under the leadership of Pastor Russell Knowles and Pastor Jonathan Smith, SonLife began in Dartmouth North with a vision to reach the community. Our slogan was, "Come as you are, you'll be loved."
When we began in 1994 the Women's Ministries groups in our Maritime District saved their pennies for a year ($38,000.00) and this money was given over the first three years to assist in supporting the church.
Our first meetings began in the Dartmouth North Boys & Girls Club and lasted for a short time until we moved to a neighboring school gymnasium. SonLife became well known in the community as we provided food, clothing, and many outreaches.
Pastor Kevin became our new pastor in the summer of 2000. Kevin, his wife Annemarie, and their five children came to SonLife with great hopes for what God would accomplish in the area.
Pastor Emma joined the staff in the fall of 2003 as the Children's & Worship Pastor. She has an energy and enthusiasm that's contagious.
After 10 years of meeting in a school gymnasium we were graciously given a building of our own. Emmanuel Church was sadly closing their parish that had been a cornerstone in the community. After presenting to them our interest in their building, their leadership unanimously decided to sell their building to us for one-dollar! We will never be able to express the extent of our gratefulness to them.

We moved into our new building on Christmas Sunday, 2004. Since that time we have been working to renovate the facilities to meet our needs.
SonLife's history is one of reaching into our community. We are here to connect with others, to connect with God, and to connect others with God. We hope you join us.
